Study Says Ladies Love Men in Red

Take a look in your guy's closet, in his drawers. Do you see much red? If so, he (and you) fall in line with the new research from the University of Rochester  that says that men in red are more attractive than those in other colors. (We'll skip the overused and dated "Lady in Red reference here.)

According to Science Daily , "Simply wearing the color red or being bordered by the rosy hue makes a man more attractive and sexually desirable to women." But it's not because it's a romantic, rosy color—it's because it's a powerful one.

"We found that women view men in red as higher in status,Nike Air Max, more likely to make money and more likely to climb the social ladder. And it's this high-status judgment that leads to the attraction," researcher Andrew Elliot explained.

If you're the of the primal anthropological sort, you can trace the red-power relationship back even further. "red is an indicator of male dominance and is expressed most intensely in alpha males. Females of these species mate more often with alpha males,Nike Free 3.0, who in turn provide protection and resources. When women see red it triggers something deep and probably biologically ingrained."
