Star Power (and a special event),シャネル 財布
Sometimes, my business can get boring and discouraging. Sales are low. Competitors creep into the picture. The realization that some of our livelihood depends on me making money gets shoved into my face. And those are usually the times when I think about quitting. {yes, I think about quitting about every other month or so}.
But, if I stick it out and wait through whatever anxiety, envy,COACH 財布 人気, or insecurity plagues me at the time, God usually throws some star power my way. The same star power that he threw toward Super Mario. You know – the super star that Mario jumps up and touches right before he’s rocketed into super speed mode. When he becomes utterly invincible and can break through any wall set before him.
Well, ladies (and gentlemen?), I have hit the star power. For like the 10th time in three years. And it happened like it usually does. I was sewing along when that shiny yellow star hit me out of nowhere and my business was catapulted to the next level.
These are the moments I live for as a small business owner. The moments that happen so unexpectedly and organically. The ones that boost my self-esteem and remind me that I can do this. The ones that God totally created – because I sure wasn’t smart enough to think of that!
Some Super Star moments for Better Life Bags:
1. Being recognized by Money Saving Mom and getting over 2,000 requests for the the FREE 31 Days of Praying for Your Husband cards.
2. My first ETSY order from someone other than my mom!
3. That REPEAT customer who came back for more!!
4. Buying fabric in bolts that started to create the brand of Better Life Bags.
5. Being gifted an incredible website from a super talented designer.
6,Prada 財布. Hiring my first employee to help alleviate the poverty in my city.
7. Discovering the power of leather combined with designer fabric.
8. Instagram madness over these new bags. (follow the madness at @betterlifebags on the smart phone app: Instagram)
I don’t list those Star Power moments to brag or boast because NONE OF THEM could have been done by my own doing. It’s so clear to me that God has been directing the course for Better Life Bags and I’ve just been faithful to do what He has set in front of me for that moment.
When the ride starts to feel slow or forced, I usually hear Him tell me to take my hands off the oars (we’re going down a boat analogy now…) and sit back for a minute. I listen and sometimes contemplate just getting out of the boat completely – quitting the ride – until that pesky little Star comes along and I reach out touch it. And we take off!!
Since the very beginning, CUSTOM has been at the core of Better Life Bags. We’ve never sold “ready to ship”. Everything is custom ordered to the liking of the customer. But, it’s hard to order a bag online when you can’t see the fabrics in person. I realize this and tried to remedy that with the Gallery. But,コーチ バッグ, it’s still not ideal.
So…. how about some Bag Designing Parties!
Parties where you and your closest friends can sit around with treats,miumiu アウトレット, coffee, music, and glorious fabric. You can hear the mission of Better Life Bags from my own mouth and pair different types together with your own hands. Ask your friend her opinion in real life and be confident in the bag that you’re ordering! Sounds amazing, right?
And the current star power moment?! We are going to test drive a few of these parties this week at Influence Conference in Indianapolis! If you’re going – listen up!
There will be three separate opportunities for you to come touch, smell, and hold a sample of each fabric offered from Better Life Bags. You can place them next to different swatches to create the perfect bag for you. We will be designing with our friends, giving advice, help, suggestions and ending up with a personalized bag of our own. If you end up ordering during one of the design sessions, I will give you a special discount on your entire order!
